I’m so glad you’re here!

My name is Jeremy and I’m a North Carolina transplant from West Virginia.

I got into pottery after I was encouraged to take a beginners wheel class to help with stress relief and to find a community. After my first class I was hooked and taken back to the days of building clay bowls and cups as a kid and hardening them in the sun.

It was the perfect antidote to my raging perfectionism. “It’s just dirt.” became more than a statement to calm my rage at a mistake, it became a mantra reminding me that nothing is perfect and you can always begin again.

These days I focus on hand-building and Raku firing, but I “throw” in a lot of other things as the need strikes me. (I do corny puns too apparently)

Since I’m not a production potter, I try to do something new every time I put my hands to the clay. I hope you enjoy what you see almost as much as I enjoy making it!

Oh, and why the name “Jaunty Fox”? Because why not? Remember to always be yourself, unless you’re able to be a Fox, then you should always be a Fox.
